Cousin fest 2008

Pete and Jill trying out the kayak.
Pete and Tyler spent a lot of time fishing off of the dock.

The kids at breakfast. All 9 of them.
This pull behind was found under Jeff and Pegs' dock. Pete put it up there hoping that someone would come by and claim it. Jeff and Peg's water trampoline also caused a commotion one day because it was so windy it came off and flew half way down the lake.
Warming up together after a cold quick swim in the morning.

Tyler's baseball 2008

This is Tyler's 2nd year in baseball, this year it is the midgets league and his team sponsor name is Fond du Lac baseball concessions. Right now they are 5 and 6 with 2 more weeks to play before tournament time. Here they are stretching.
Tyler is a great hitter, he usually can hit it out past second and make it to second.
Love how you can see the ball yet. They hit from a pitching machine.
Out playing short stop. He usually plays that or left field.
Making a run.

flood of 2008

Here are the boys in our backyard after the flood. That is a bad as we got it. Pete was gone up north for the big flood, thank god our house didn't flood like a lot of other peoples that did in town or I would have called him to come home. We did have some water in our basement and I was worried because the sewer was starting to back up in the basement.
These are 2 pictures my friend sent me. This is on our old street we used to live on (5th st). Thanks god we don't live there anymore. As you can see water was pretty high. On Follett we were lucky as only the gutters were full, every street around us was flooded.

Melanie's 5th grade recognition

This is from Melanie being on safety patrol this year, they had an overnight field trip and then a recognition banquet for all of the Fond du Lac school crossing guards. This is a play that her 5th grade class put on before their recognition.
Here she is going up to get her award certificate passing 5th grade and moving on to middle school for 6th grade.
This is her teacher Mr. Williams. She was scared to have him in the beginning of the year, but she really liked having him for a teacher (it was her first male teacher)

Greenbusch zoo

Went with the neighbors up by Appleton to a little zoo called Glenbusch zoo. Was a cute zoo and kids got to pet some different animals. We also went on a little train ride through the wilderness where they had animals that were native to Wisconsin in cages along the way. Tyler holding a baby duck or goose.
Melanie by a big tortoise roaming around.
The kids by one monkey cage. The monkeys would do like 3 back flips in a row for an animal cracker!
